Dave Augustyn for Niagara Region - Blueprint for Integrity, Prosperity, and Compassion

A Better Region for You

Integrity • Prosperity • Compassion

Like you, my family and I love Pelham. We love the natural surroundings, the unique communities, the dedicated volunteers, the people. We love the ‘honour system’ of our roadside fruit stands and we’re proud of our revitalized downtowns in Fonthill and Fenwick. It’s wonderful to enjoy our amazing new facilities, playgrounds and parks, and participate in our many local festivals and events.

Serving as Mayor over the last 12 years, I’ve had the honour of working with Town Council, many groups and dedicated individuals to make Pelham more vibrant and caring. We’ve shown that by working together, we can turn a strong, positive, and common vision into a reality. Over the years, we’ve improved the overall quality of life and shaped a prosperous and compassionate community, all while keeping property tax increases below inflation.

Now, as the Niagara Peninsula continues to grow and change, we need to make sure our Regional Government works for everyone. Too often lately we’ve been reading negative headlines about big Regional projects gone bad, the tainted CAO hiring process, and your tax dollars wasted for personal gain.

I have consistently stood up against these behaviours which keep us from important advances – like improving health and emergency services, adding more housing that’s affordable, employing more youth, supporting businesses, integrating transit, and advancing GO train service to Niagara.

I ask for your support this election, to continue my public service as Pelham’s Regional Councillor, dedicating my focus, energy and experience to the regional matters that impact our local community and our Region of Niagara.

Let’s keep working together to move our regional economy forward, to create a more compassionate Niagara, and to bring back integrity to the Region and the NPCA.

I see an exciting future for Pelham and I believe in the promise of Niagara!

Sincerely yours,
