International success is brewing at the Niagara College Teaching Brewery. On July 4, the NC Teaching Brewery – the first of its kind in Canada based at the College’s Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus – was announced as the winner of three medals at the 2015 United States Open Beer Championship. More than 4,000 beers and ciders from professional breweries and award-winning home brewers from more than 20 countries were entered into this year’s competition, based in Oxford, Ohio and Atlanta, Georgia.

I’ve been a member of the Welland-Pelham Chamber of Commerce for as long as I’ve been in business and I can say with absolute certainty that I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for the Chamber’s constant support and various networking opportunities.

During a Special Meeting on June 23, 2015, Council approved the architect's revised schematic design in principle (as also approved by the Architectural Design Advisory Committee), but paused further work by the architect until staff provided a high-level costing evaluation of the design and until the Architectural Design Advisory Committee (ADAC) met to review the plan again. As a result, the design drawings won’t be ready for the public to comment on during Summerfest, as reported in the June 15, 2015 Council Meeting Highlights.

The loveliest thing happened. I went into Duffin's Appleworks on Rice Road near Hwy. 20 in Fonthill. I got there moments before closing time at 6pm. I was thrilled to find they had two cherries pies left, because I wanted to take one with me to friends for dinner tonight. Then I realized that I didn't have any cash, and they don't take debit.

Mokus restaurant in Fonthill showed their community support and raised $600 towards the Faith Fundraiser. On April 3, 2015 Faith Flagg  was struck by a hit and run driver while walking with friends along Canboro Rd. between Church Hill and Haist St. in Fonthill.

In April I provided you with a timeline for the design and possible construction of a new Multi-Faceted Community Centre in the East Fonthill area. Council recently paused that process to get more information.

The Miller Restoration Mosquito Rep team took to the road this weekend for a tournament in Mitchell, Ontario.  The team played stellar baseball, winning all three of their qualifying games to place first in their division and earn a seat in the semi-finals on Sunday morning.

The week before a trip get all your must have bathing suit  prep  services booked. First should be a  bikini  wax or sugaring . It’s always an awkward (and painful) process to get this service done but I have few tips on how to make it a wee bit better. First, exfoliate “down there” the morning of your appointment. This will banish the excess skin, which makes the process a lot less painful.

To eat or not to eat... This simple question has a simple yet complex answer. Both strategies (eating before and eating after exercise) are good for performance, fitness, and health. However, how to eat for exercise is dependent on several factors, specifically, how long you exercise, your type of exercise, your exercise experience, and health factors that may play a role in how you process food. Nutrition plays a key role in building fitness, that's for sure.

Of the “Seven Wonders of the Ancient World,” the only one still in existence is the Great Pyramid of Giza. This tells you something about the strength of the pyramid structure, but it also suggests that the pyramid may be a good metaphor for other endeavours that you wish to pursue — such as your investment strategy.

In fact, by creating an appropriate “investment pyramid,” you could address your key financial needs and goals. What might this pyramid look like? Consider the following “layers”:
