Town mourns the loss of former Councillor, citizen of the year, Gerry Berkhout

Mr. Berkhout was a community-driven individual, focused on enhancing our Town for everyone to enjoy. A former Town Councillor (1998-2003), Fonthill Lions member, citizen of the year, and member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Mr. Berkhout served his community with passion and dedication. He will be missed by many. Recognized last November with a trail naming in his honour, I am grateful that Mr. Berkhout attended the ceremony with family and friends, solidifying and preserving his impact on our community.

Adult Learn To Skate

Monday’s 1:00-2:00pm at the Meridian Community Centre. This is  a 10 week program that is instructor-led, Classes begin January 14th and run until March 25th (No class on Family Day –February 18).

Cannabis Retail Stores in Pelham - Fact Sheet and Survey

Municipalities will need to opt in or opt out of allowing retail cannabis stores to operate in their towns/cities by January 22, 2019. The Town of Pelham is seeking resident feedback on this topic. Please review the following information and take the survey below to share your thoughts. The legal sale of recreational cannabis is highly regulated. Only legal cannabis that is produced by licenced producers (also highly regulated) can be sold in private cannabis retail stores and only to people 19 years of age and older. This means that access to the youth will be controlled and the product that will be available will be legally produced, will not be altered or cut with other substances so that it will be safer and will be appropriately labelled with regards to its THC potency so that people will know what they are buying and will be able to use it safer.

Pelham Sales Drop Off Year To Date

As 2018 draws to a close we reflect back upon a year that saw the return to a more 'normal' real estate market.

We are encouraged that although the number of sales declined this year the massive spike in our average selling prices is holding well in all communities of Niagara. With the number of new listings on the rise we will be monitoring market prices very closely during the coming months and you can count on us to keep you informed.
