Tours, events, information sessions and more on tap for Spring Open House March 24

Saturday, March 24, 2018 -
10:00 to 14:00

Get an inside look at your future at Niagara College this Saturday. Enjoy hours of special events and information sessions, both of NC’s cutting-edge campuses, and meet the faculty and staff that make it all possible at NC’s Spring Open House, Saturday, March 24.

In addition to a wide variety of displays, information sessions, live events and facility tours, one lucky future student will be the recipient of a $3,000 award applicable towards 2017-18 tuition.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to meet students, faculty and staff, experience the remarkable facilities and services we have on campus, and get a taste for what Niagara College is all about,” said NC president Dan Patterson. “There’s no better time than the Open House to explore your future at Niagara College.”

Help usher in spring early with a landscaping demonstration at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus, and plant sales at both campuses. Easter lilies, hydrangeas and more will be on offer, in addition to the landscaping skills of NC’s students and faculty. Tours and tastings will be on-tap in Niagara-on-the-Lake at NC’s Teaching Brewery and Teaching Winery, as well as bread-making and charcuterie demonstrations in the recently renovated wing of the Canadian Food and Wine Institute.

Visit the Welland Campus for a scene study in the Acting Lab, tour a mock courtroom, and see construction materials being tested in the Materials Lab.

Student life at NC will also be on display through Niagara College’s Student Administrative Council, who will be offering free ice cream from Marble Slab, as well as a Get Your Game On interactive gaming room.

Program Information Sessions will cover everything you need to know about the experience of studying at NC, while a student services fair will bring you up to speed on the supports and services available to students. Check the program schedule to find times and dates for specific sessions. Parents can stop by a new Parent Lounge and Parent Information Sessions for a look inside what life as an NC parent is like.

Parking is free during the event. Advance registration is not required and visitors will enjoy a 20 per cent discount at campus stores.
