The Town of Pelham is creating a designated space for seniors in the Meridian Community Centre. This will be home to an 8-month project: SAY IT! On Stage. “SAY IT” stands for “Seniors and Youth Intergenerational Theatre”. It is a program designed to strengthen connections and encourage collaboration between teens and their elders.
Come enjoy a performance by students of Ballroom Basics, to the music from the movie, "Dirty Dancing". Complimentary coffee, tea, water and snacks will be provided. Bar services available for additional fee.
The Meridian Community Centre (MCC), already a designated Seniors Active Living Centre, will soon offer a dedicated space for those 55+. Located on the second floor of the MCC, the lounge will be set up in the Special Functions area overlooking the atrium, with entrance from the walking track.
Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. Though yoga is beneficial for all, chair yoga is the perfect way for seniors to discover yoga.
The community that plants together, grows together! Take part in a morning tree planting activity, promoting community engagement and environmental action! To participate in this family friendly event, bring a shovel, gardening gloves and lots of energy!

Get your baskets ready, Pelham’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza is just around the corner, Saturday, April 20, 2019. Residents are asked to take special note of the location change to this year’s event, now taking place at Centennial Park in Fenwick. The Easter egg hunt will begin at 11 a.m. sharp for all age groups. A bouncy house will be operating from 10:30 a.m. – noon and the Pelham Fire Department will bring a fire truck down to the park.

We are bringing back the Bike Blender! This time it will be set up at the Pelham Arena on November 17th during the PD Day Afternoon Skate between 12:30pm-2pm. Kids 3-12 will be given the opportunity to test out Pelham's Bike Blender, a bicycle-powered blender, to create their own Squash/Pumpkin smoothie.

Essential Collective Theatre celebrates Canada's 150th Anniversary of Confederation with this original play about the canal that helped to shape the Niagara Region.

A Comprehensive Safety Program That Prepares Children to Stay Home Alone. Is your child ready to stay home alone? The Home Alone Safety for Kids program helps children and their families get ready for their child's first steps towards independence and being home without adult supervision. This safety program is ideally suited for children ages 9-12 years old. Safety and accident prevention are the common theme throughout this program.
The Pelham Farmers’ Market will be host the 2017 Apple Festival on Thursday October 5th from 4:30pm - Dusk. There will be free apple fritters, apple cider and apple balloons for children under 12. Other events on the day are as follows:
Adults at any age (18+) can start skating with this program which is geared towards learning, or improving on, the basics of skating. Participants will be introduced to various skills involving moving forward and backward, gliding, stopping, turning and developing endurance. If you are interested in building your fundamentals or just want to learn to skate recreationally, Adult Learn to Skate is for you!

By transforming the street into a pop-up park , the Green Street Challenge creates an opportunity for children and families to play outside and enjoy all the benefits that community green spaces have to offer! Communities all across Canada have been chosen to participate in this initiative managed by Come Alive Outside to promote the importance of outdoor, unstructured play. The Green Street challenge offers a way to celebrate outdoor play and green spaces as essential ingredients to the well being of our society.

Children of all skill level are invited to join us at Marlene Stewart Streit Park for skateboard lessons led by highly qualified male and female instructors.
On Thursday, May 25, the Farmers' Market will begin its free Kids Can Grow program. With the help of our local farmers and volunteers, children and youth (12&under) will have a chance to grow their own produce. While quantities last, 120 spots available.

Focusing on skills, balance and style, skateboarders will have 2 ½ hours of instruction, 3 days per week. Campers will be placed in groups based on age and ability level. Whether you are a true beginner or working on improving your skating, you will enjoy what this camp offers. This camp includes Bissell's on Tuesday and Thursday day trip. Helmet and pads are required.
